Overview

West Virginia University at Parkersburg is a 2-year community college with two locations serving seven counties. In addition to associate degrees from five academic divisions, WVU is the only public community college in the state accredited to offer bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration. Although WVU Parkersburg functions under an independent board of governors, it is still an affiliated institution with West Virginia University. Among WVU Parkersburg’s school traditions, the original school bell from the university’s founding is preserved and still used during commencement and other campus ceremonies.
