Overview
The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine is a medical school specializing in producing rural primary care physicians. WVSOM features a 4-year curriculum centered around Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Sciences, and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine. During their second year, students get their first experience with clinical practice by providing services under faculty supervision through the Student OMM Clinic. WVSOM also enables students to focus on their own health through the Founders’ Activity Center, which features a basketball court and cardio machines.
