Overview
Ventura College is a 2-year community college. Each VC course is centered around Student Learning Outcomes: specific statements and goals set by the faculty that students are expected to demonstrate by the end of the class. VC is best known for the Ventura College Promise, which offers free first year tuition for all recent high school graduates in Ventura County. VC offers transfer admission guarantees to many schools within the University of California and California State University systems, as well as several other public and private institutions.
