Overview
Established in 1878, the University of California, Hastings College of the Law is a public law institution located in San Francisco. Hastings offers a three-year Juris Doctor program, as well as two multiple-degree programs in collaboration with UC Santa Cruz, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Presidio Graduate School. The college also provides graduate degree opportunities both for attorneys licensed outside of the US and for professionals in other fields, such as Health Care and Business, who look to develop a deeper understanding of the law. Students can take part in experiential learning through clinical programs, simulation courses, provision of pro bono legal services, and a number of the college’s award-winning inter-collegiate competition teams.
