Overview

With campus a short distance from the Missouri River, Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College is a tribal college in western North Dakota operated by the Three Affiliated Tribes of the Fort Berthold Reservation. NHSC offers bachelor’s degrees in Native American Studies, Elementary Education, and Environmental Science and is home to 12 associate degree-granting programs. Additionally, NHSC provides a pathway for Native students to pursue non-traditional career paths through five programs affiliated with the Native American Career & Technical Education Project. To promote environmental sustainability, the college’s Agriculture Department holds numerous demonstrations and hands-on experiences throughout the year.
