Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. MCC is definitely not the best college out there, but it does have it's good points. MCC has a broad range of courses available to take. It's also affordable, convenient, and you're not likely to get lost on campus.

Meridian Community College is hands down the best community in the state of Mississippi. There are so many opportunities at MCC for each and every student. Quality education at a reasonable price can definitely be a huge advantage to the students!
Ash from Meridian, MS
Meridian Community College has excellent teachers who take time out of their schedules to help as much as possible. The education is at a sophisticated level, and the staff is very kind and reasonable with all questions. It might be called Harvard on the Hill, but the students get real help, actual conversations with their instructors, and a great first step at college.
Brittney from Collinsville, MS
This college is excellent for traditional students.
The instructors are patient in taking the time needed with each student.
This college has a wonderful facility and a great environment.
Alicia from Newton, MS
I love this college. The class sizes are small so if a student needs one on one help then no problem. The staff is really helpful and works with you to reach your full potential. If you need an extra class to keep you a full time student then the course advisors will work with you to find the perfect match. The course advisors will also help you get all the classes needed for a possible transfer to a 4 year university.
