Denison is a challenging school academically, but as far as campus goes, it is a wonderful place to attend college. Professors really do care about your academic standing and go out of their way to help you in any way possible. Being a residential campus, you make friends fast and become very close with those that live around you.

I would recommend that students be prepared to participate a lot in classes and let your opinions be heard. It is also important to be able to work well with other students.

While I felt I was prepared for college, even coming from a very rigorous high school, the work load at Denison is still definitely a wake up call.

While dorms that aren't designated as quiet dorms can get very loud, the dorms that are quiet or other special designations do comprise people that try to uphold the rules of their dorm at all times.

There is always a wide variety of food to choose from in case you don't like what is in the main line.

There is always something going on on campus and there are many groups and organizations to join to get involved. If there isn't already a group you're interested in, you can start one yourself.
