Bacone College is a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1880 to serve American Indian communities. It is historically affiliated with the Muscogee Nation, Cherokee Nation, and the American Baptist Churches. It is home to several buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, as well as the Ataloa Lodge Museum which houses a massive collection of Native American art.
