Overview

Established by a collaborative partnership between the American and Bulgarian governments, American University in Bulgaria is a college in western Bulgaria and the first American-style liberal arts university in Eastern Europe. AUBG confers undergraduate degrees in 12 academic majors as well as a self-designed major. In addition, all AUBG classes are taught in English. For a break from the classroom, AUBG provides access to the town of Blagoevgrad featuring a public park, cafes, and a history museum.
