Overview
Established in 1839, Albany Medical College is a medical education institution located in the state of New York, and is a member of the Union University association. Albany Med is the only health sciences center in its region that focuses on academics, and it is one of the oldest medical centers in the country. The college offers undergraduate programs, graduate programs, research opportunities, and fellowships to a small student body of about 500 scholars, with subjects of study including physician assistantship, immunology, cell biology, neuroscience, and more. Students following the college’s core curriculum are required to complete clerkships throughout their third and fourth years.
