Overview

The Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics is a not-for-profit institution that confers associate degrees in aviation maintenance and aviation electronics. Since 1929, PIA has produced topnotch mechanics and technicians through its aviation programs, now leading students to careers as Federal Aviation Admission (FAA) certified air mechanics and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) licensed avionics technicians. PIA has even been named the #1 Top Two-Year Trade School in 2018 by Forbes. The main PIA campus is located in Pittsburgh, but the institute has three other campuses in Maryland, South Carolina, and Ohio, all of which offer employment assistance to both current students and alumni.
