Overview
Piedmont Virginia Community College is a 2-year institution serving Charlottesville and six surrounding counties. PVCC is home to 12 academic departments conferring degrees and certificates in programs such as Web Technologies and Retail Management. In addition, PVCC features a number of Service Learning classes that combine coursework with community service projects related to the topic at hand. Among its student services offerings, Great Expectations at PVCC provides counseling and mentorship to its former foster care youth population.
