Overview
Northwest Indian College is a tribal institution on the Lummi Indian Reservation and the only accredited tribal college serving Washington, Idaho, and Oregon. As an institution dedicated to the study of Native cultures, NIC offers four bachelor’s degree programs in subjects such as Native Studies Leadership, Tribal Governance, and Native Environmental Space. NIC’s enrollment draws from a number of Native traditions and over 90 tribes are represented in the college’s student body. Outside of the classroom, NIC fields athletic teams in men’s and women’s basketball.
