Overview
Mayland Community College is a public, 2-year institution located in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, with satellite facilities in Newland and Burnsville. MCC offers over 40 career-oriented associate’s degrees and certificates, as well as associate’s degrees for transfer to 4-year institutions. MCC also maintains the Mayland Earth to Sky Park, which is home to the Bare Dark Sky Observatory and a micro-propagation lab which sells plants to the public. Students looking to earn a bachelor’s degree can take advantage of MCC’s articulation agreements with Gardner-Webb University, Milligan College, and nine other institutions.
