Review of Auburn University

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

I am involved in the Honors College here, and while the Honors classes are a bit difficult, it is worth the perks. I was able to register for classes 3 weeks earlier than other freshmen. Auburn offers a wide variety of classes that are very interesting to take. Though I am majoring in Business, I am taking some of the courses in other topics that I am interested in.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

It was quite a culture shock to come down to the deep South, but I really enjoy it. At first it may be a little overwhelming, especially if you decide not to do Greek Life. However, there are so many clubs to get involved with! No matter who you are, you will be able to find an organization to get involved with here!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Auburn gives out a lot of money for Merit Scholarships each year. I believe you only need a 28 ACT and a 3.5 GPA, and you are eligible for a scholarship! For out of state students Auburn is pretty expensive, but in state I believe is next to nothing!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Apply early! They have rolling decision for students who apply early so you don't have to wait for an answer. If you have the credentials, apply for the Honors College! Early registration is amazing. Get involved! Then you can meet people with the same interest as you. When you need a roommate, check out URoomSurf.com! This is where I found my roommate, and we worked out great!

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Honestly it is great for everyone. There are 24,000 some students here between undergraduate and graduate students. You are bound to find someone that you click with!
