This scholarship is for students who are listed on the lease of a property owned or managed by the Housing Authority of the City of Winston-Salem (HAWS). To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be eligible for admission to an accredited postsecondary school in an approved program of study; have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 at time of initial application (college students with a history of poor college grades, but who have not been in college in the last two years, will be evaluated on a case by case basis; and demonstrate evidence of community involvement or school activities including any awards or leadership roles.
