R. Walker Geitner III Memorial Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

This scholarship is for graduating seniors and graduates of Asheville High School in Asheville, North Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have demonstrated outstanding achievement in film, video production, or visual or performing arts. The criteria for awarding this scholarship will be as follows: strong moral character, emphasis on consistent and strong performance in the chosen discipline; special achievements and/or recognition in film, video, or the arts; academic ability/achievement in other subjects; financial need; community service; extracurricular activities; and work experience. Applicants must submit a sample of their work, which can be a two-page creative writing sample, a five-minute video, or an art portfolio (six pieces).
