PFLAG Dayton Chapter Scholarship

The PFLAG scholarship program, including the Greater Dayton LGBT scholarship, is designed to recognize outstanding students [two or three lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT) and one or two straight allies] and to contribute toward their continuing education. This program is designed to celebrate the achievement of individuals who represent PFLAG and the LGBT Center values. The awarding of these scholarships will be based on a combination of achievement in the areas of academic performance, leadership, and extracurricular activities. Applicants will be required to provide completed application forms, three references, and an original essay. The essay should describe goals the individual hopes to achieve in completing his or her college or vocational school education and in preparing for a productive career beyond formal education.
