National Association of Women in Construction UNLV Open Major Scholarship

Public Education Foundation of Marion County

Student must be the dependent of a guardian presently employed or actively employed in the construction or related industry in the past 12 months within Clark County. The employed guardian must have been employed in the construction industry for a minimum of 5 years. Note: The goal and purpose of the Scholarship is to assist children of people in the construction industry for at least 5 years. With the current high unemployment within our industry at this time, we wanted to make sure children of parents that have been in the industry and are currently laid off can still apply so we added ‘the in the past 12 months’. Award is paid each semester. The recipient(s) must submit their transcript and class schedule for the upcoming semester. There will be no reminder for renewal. Student must remain a fulltime student with no breaks in their college education. Verification of college enrollment (class schedule) will be required during the summer before check is mailed to the college. Scholarship funds must be applied toward tuition, fees and other appropriate educational expenses. These funds will be disbursed on a semester by semester basis.
