This scholarship is for high school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores who are under the age of 20. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must reside in the following states or the District of Columbia: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, Delaware, and New Jersey. Applicants must exhibit academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement, activities, awards and honors, financial need, and a desire and ability to overcome barriers and achieve their goals. High school applicants must have a 3.0 GPA and college students must have a 2.75 GPA.
