Big Country Athletic Hall of Fame Scholarship

Community Foundation of Abilene

This scholarship is for graduating seniors who attend an accredited high school in one of the following Texas counties: Knox, Kent, Stonewall, Haskell, Throckmorton, Scurry, Fisher, Jones, Shackelford, Stephens, Mitchell, Nolan, Taylor, Callahan, Eastland, Runnels, Coleman, Brown, or Comanche. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have been varsity athletes and have attended an eligible school for three years, including senior year. Applicants must also graduate in the top 25% of their class. Selection will be based on scholastic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated integrity and character. Financial need will be considered as a tie-breaker. Participation in college or university athletics is not a requirement. Recipients may attend any US college or university.
