APWU Vocational Scholarship

Five Vocational Scholarships are to be used for three years of study in a specific trade, technical, industrial, or vocational school. Vocational Scholarships are awarded to recipients selected from five regions. Recipients must attend an accredited community college or vocational school, and must maintain a “B” average (or “Pass” if on a “Pass/Fail” system), or a positive evaluation from a counselor or instructor. Other fields include culinary arts, medical or dental assistant, electrician, real estate, auto mechanic, certified IT/computer education, cosmetology, or massage therapy, etc. Eligible programs can be of a nine-month to three-year duration. Applicants must be a child, grandchild, stepchild, or legally adopted child of a current, retired, or deceased APWU member. Proof of membership required for deceased members.
