Overview

With a campus located in Berkeley, Zaytuna College is a Muslim liberal arts college and the first Islamic undergraduate institution of higher learning in the United States. Zaytuna confers a Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Law and Theology featuring courses in Arabic, the Islamic sciences, and the liberal arts. The curriculum also includes recreational courses in swimming, archery, and horseback riding. Outside of the classroom, Zaytuna students take part in numerous Muslim traditions including a monthly reading of the entire Qur’an known as Khatmah.
