The quality and the quantity of the education that Xavier have to offer is amazing. Comparing to the college that a couple of my high school friends have elected to go to. They was surprise that Xavier offers free tutoring. They have a program called SAS and its for students who didn't do all that well on the SAT or ACT and they help you along the way. They will get you extra tutoring if needed. The professors at Xavier have an open office policy so if you ever need any extra help you just have to go seek them. The work is extremely hard but they are preparing you for your future whether after graduation you will be enrolling in graduate school or jump right into the work force. Another thing at Xavier is the professors now your name, you are not a number.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Love being at Xavier, it a family oriented atmosphere. Small university, it is a HBCU so you know we do know how to have fun. But with that said they have a lot of clubs and organizations you can get involved to.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Even though Xavier is kind of expensive I truly believe with the amount of money you are paying to attend this institution it is a very good investment. The quality of the education is really beyond what you will receive from other institution.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Xavier is not for everybody. If you are one of them types of students who want to go to college to party and not study and not go to class. Then don't waste your time or your money. Even though it is a HBCU and we have fun but Xavier take pride in the education. When you come on campus be ready to work. And if you debating if you should apply, go on ahead and do it. Xavier is an institution that will give you a chance don't matter how your test scores are looking, don't matter if you are rich or poor they will work with because they truly want to see you achieve. So if you get rejected from any other institutions just know that Xavier has your back and will put you to work and challenge you so that you can successful and not a statistic.
