Webster University is the perfect place for a dedicated, interesting, and creative student. The campus is very quaint and town-like; perfect for inspiring creativity and focus. There are plenty of academic resources to be taken advantage of, and the faculty is truly there to help you!
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
1. Ask for help! There is no way to get the right answers, or any answers at all, if you don't ask for help! Every professor/faculty member I've ever spoken to here is always willing to answer any questions.
2. Take a tour of not only the campus, but the surrounding area. It's such a beautiful place to study a craft that you love. There are so many unique pieces of St. Louis, and ready to be seen!
3. Be open-minded. This is a Liberal Arts school, and creativity and self-expression is bursting at the seams of this campus. Be ready and willing to meet many new people, and explore the diversity.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Webster is well-regarded for their academic accomplishments. I am only rating it with four stars, because I am a conservatory student and I don't take academic classes at Webster. However, many students give it's academic success lots of praise!
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Dorm life is an awesome way to make lifetime friends. Residential Assistants are so helpful when you need anything, and there are plenty of events scheduled for each floor to be apart of. Each floor has its own theme each semester, and the quiet hours are very convenient.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Webster's Dining options are very diverse! There is something for everyone, whether you're vegan, vegetarian, whatever! The only negative for me was that they don't serve good seafood very often, which is a food that I really love. There are other dining resources on campus other than the main dining hall as well, whether it be a sandwich shop, a fast food grill, or a smoothie place!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
A lot of planned events happen on the weekends. The students at Webster love to schedule events for the whole campus to be apart of. There are free movies that show in the auditorium, most of which are sneak peeks at movies that haven't even shown in theatres yet! I saw Argo on campus about a week before it premiered in theatres. Pizza parties/karaoke/game nights are usual happenings on campus. There's always something to do!
