It's an amazing college! I love how the teachers are so into helping the students to understand and learn more than just their intended major. The best part is everyone who goes to this school, wants to be there.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Make it count. If you want to have any art degree (I myself am studying film) then you have to work a lot harder here than you would in any other school. It's the place to be if you know in your heart that you want to pursue the arts.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
It's pretty tough but the teachers are so helpful and other students as well. It's not a school you can procrastinate in and get away with it.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
These are probably the best dorms ever. It's like an apartment. There's four bedrooms (so you get your own! it even locks!) and two bathrooms. You have your own washer and dryer in the dorm. Along with a full kitchen (That's right. there's a refrigerator, a sink and dishwasher, a stove, microwave, and a ton of cabinets.) These dorms are awesome.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
It depends on how you like to eat. There isn't a meal plan or anything because of the kitchen in the dorms so most of us make our own food. There is a little cafe in the building and the food there is actually really good. The burger's and stuff are made fresh right when you order so it's not been sitting all day.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There's always something going on. I've been invited to a lot of film sets just to help out. There's an annual girl's night in the dorms. Nashville is the place to be.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
For all the equipment available, it's not a bad price. There's even an actual movie theater in there.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
The lake is beautiful and there are plenty of geese.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
If you love the arts, or graphic design, interior design, or film, then this is the place to be. It's great for students who want to express themselves because the teachers are more open to different ideas and points of view.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
Just ask student life and anything is possible. The theater is open for movie days. They'll screen whatever you ask.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
There's security on campus at all times. It makes me feel safe.
