Review of University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

from Whitewater, WI

Describe your college in three sentences.

Very good education and excellent, hands on teachers. Small campus with a large campus feel. Lots of places for study and play--you should not be bored on this campus!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Go to class! Showing up does wonders for your GPA. If you start out with good grades, they are easier to keep up than trying to dig yourself out of a hole

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Classes are not overly taxing, but if you do not study you will not do well. Again, going to class helps a lot!

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Everyone is friendly and no one is placed by major or age. You get to meet all sorts of people from every walk of life imaginable!

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Some of the on-campus dining sites aren't good, but if you are willing to walk a little farther there are brand new dining halls and excellent off campus dining options!

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Check with your RA's for fun on campus stuff! Or, simply walk around. Eventually, you'll run into people doing something interesting and you can just join in!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Great education and environment for the price you are paying. I love it here and you won't worry as much about your wallet.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Whitewater is shrouded in the paranormal. With the Witches Tower to the Esker graveyard, sight seeing and mystery are abound!

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Excellent business school! One of the best in the nation. So if you are thinking about accounting, finance, or general business, Whitewater is the place for you!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

If there isn't already a club or activity that you want, simply make it yourself. It's easy and fun!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Decent greek life, but the campus doesn't solely focus on what they do. It's more about the students as a whole, not those few in frats and sororities.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

The police are excellent without being too much of buzz killers. I feel safe walking around campus at any hour and their is always people on duty to walk you where ever if you are afraid or lonely!
