The majority of my professors are all actively working in their industry in addition to teaching, and therefore are very current on events. This adds an excellent component to class time, I'm never just learning facts, rather useful information I can relate to the real world and the workforce.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Being a transfer student, I am often comparing my experience at Platteville to my previous college. There is a significant difference in school spirit, and the overall feeling of the campus is very positive. I love the location, because I am surrounded by lots of open land but I'm still only an hour away from Madison, and really close to Illinois and Iowa boarders. The town itself also has a lot of restaurants and activities to offer.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Platteville definitely offers a quality education for the price, and the facilities are nice. Though the food plan is a little pricey, it is still affordable and the food is decent compared to other colleges. The parking pass is also very affordable, my previous college was more than double the price of my pass here!
