I love the campus atmosphere, being from a graduating class of 32, platteville is the perfect size. I guess one thing that the guys like, the guy to girl ratio is 2:3, keeping them happy! It's not too city like, it has the town and necessities, but it's also very country...we have the largest M to climb!

Consider Platteville for your future college studies! They are one of two schools in Wisconsin that have cadavers, so of you are interested in the medical or criminal justice field, this school is a great choice! Platteville's leading programs are; Engineering, Criminal Justice, and Agriculture. UW Platteville even has its own farm for agriculture studies!
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Professors and academic advisors here don't want you to have too much on your plate as an incoming freshman, so they try to keep you around 15-16 credits yor first semester. Platteville's undergraduate rates are in the high 80 percentile!
Describe the dorm life at your college.
They currently just built Rountree, a more updated dorm, you get your own bathroom and kitchen, plus it has air conditioning! You need a medical excuse to get one installed in the other dorms such as Porter, Dobson, Melcher, etc.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The main known place would be Platters, thi is where the typical college food is. However, Platteville also offers many restaraunts and specialty foods. We also have the C Store where you can use your meal plans and points to buy stuff!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
In walking distance, we have bowling alleys, movie theatres, Wal mart (people love going there I guess). The giant M is amazing, the view from up there is indescribable. We are only and he from Madison and 30 min from Dubuqe, Iowa. In Dubuqe you can find many things like the wild life sanctuary, a mall for shopping, river walk, etc.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Platteville is not too expensive either! You get a great education with fewer holes in ur pockets and less debt and loans to pay off!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
To be honest, the only thing I know of is the M..once I move in (tomorrow) I will know a lot more of the traditions!

Outgoing yet enjoys a little peace and isn't a huge fan of a large city. Adventurous, and easy going kind.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
On every light post there is a blue glowing button for safety and to press of you are in danger. Authorities will be there within minutes. There are cameras for safety as well.
