By having a mixture in class size I am beginning to see what works best for me. Pit classes are generally the hardest to learn in, but having a great professor makes things a lot easier. Professors are generally easy going & really are here to help you learn. They strive to learn your names & enjoy answering questions you may have.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Oshkosh has something for everyone, whether you like sports, on campus clubs, or just relaxing there is something here for everyone. You will have no problem fitting in, especially if you choose to get involved in some way. Living in the dorms is pretty sweet too. The CA's are super helpful, as well as the rest of the Residence Life staff. The transition from high school to college is a breeze, especially at UW-O.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
UW-O is one of the cheapest Wisconsin 4 year universities to attend. After touring other UW schools I found that for the amount I am paying I am receiving a much better education than other more expensive schools. Financial aide is readily available & often times students receive more money than needed.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Apply early, tour the campus in the fall. Try to get a private tour if possible, there are more perks. Compare this school to others, although it will be hard to find a school cooler than UW-O. Don't overly stress about your application, but take time to be thorough in it. Make sure you talk to other UW-O students too, they can be very beneficial.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
UW-O is perfect for students who are interested in experiencing new things. The campus is ideal for active students & athletes of all kinds. There is a club on campus for everyone, so you will be sure to find your niche.
