I'm taking 5 Gen Ed Class (There's a ton required, so be prepared for that!) and they are challenging, but I don't feel like I'm flailing either!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I love it! Living in the dorms (Maher!) is great and the campus is BEAUTIFUL. San Diego is a great city. Can't even imagine moving back home.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
It's expensive, but the financial aid is really outstanding, so don't be afraid of the sticker price. Everyone I know has gotten very large scholarships from the school. I'm paying the same as my in-state tuition, actually!
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Have volunteering on your resume.. that's huge here. Also have good academics. The kids here may be pretty, but they're also really smart.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Smart, out-going, relaxed. People here aren't overstressed about school, but academics are a main focus. Not a huge party school, but there are definitely parties. Plus, if that's what you're really looking for, SDSU isn't far away.
