Describe your college in three sentences.

I have fallen in love with The University of North Georgia. The mountains, the community, small classes, student life, scholarships, programs, theres an endless list! The campus is beautiful and the people you will meet will be your friends for a lifetime and UNG is topped ranked!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Live in the dorms. You think it will be gross and you want your own space but the time spent in one of the dorms is times missed out. You'll meet so many people at one time, friends to wave to on campus, social gatherings, clean halls and bathrooms everyday, free food, best friends and its easy to walk anywhere on campus. One of my best decisions and I miss it already!

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Small classes means you learn better, you aren't afraid to ask questions, the professors know you're name and you feel more comfortable. Challenging classes but nothing you can't handle. You just have to push yourself and put time aside to study. The professors want you to succeed and they are required to have office hours for you to come visit.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Once and a lifetime experience! The time to meet everyone because you are all new. You become such a close, knit community of friends to hangout with. There is always something going on but you can also get time away in your room. One of the best decisions I made and I wish I could do it all over again. They clean the bathrooms everyday, never waiting in a line for showers or bathrooms. Where you can meet your best friends. 100% recommend for freshmen.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Walking into the dining hall, or as we like to call it Chow, you are surrounded by the smell of variety of foods. You have a lot of choices to choose between and they mix it up everyday. The breakfast was my favorite meal and it was amazing.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Hiking, camping, exercising, shopping, hanging out with friends, movies, cooking, Gold Rush, Bear on the Square, trips to Walmart never get old. You can really do anything!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Students are extremely involved with clubs and activities. We offer a wide variety of clubs to choose from and if you want to start a club you can!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Great comment of people. If you and you're best friend go into different sororities of fraternities, you will still see them and be best friends. The Greek community of UNG is classy, moderate, mature, caring, and resourceful.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Call boxes are located outside of every academic building and if you don't feel safe, press the button. The campus police will be there in less than three minutes. They will escort you back to your car/dorm. If you lock your keys inside your car, they will open it up for you for free and restart your car if your battery goes dead.
