I am only a freshman here and I love it already! Academically I enjoy attending my classes. I have many friends who moan and groan about going to class and I am EAGER to do so here! I have 4 classes now in lecture halls of about 200 students but the professor knows my name! They really make an effort to keep you interested and feel good about what you are learning. They also really push for you to use their office hours to see them for any reasons!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I do enjoy it here! I play rugby and it was probably the best decision I have ever made. The kids are so welcoming and fun! I stay active with rugby and the gym here has awesome hours. The students here definitely know how to throw a great party so just keep your head in the game!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I chose this school at first because they were the best with financial aid and really made my goal of attending college possible. The financial aid office will work with those who may be confused and need a little help as well.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Meet as many people as you can as soon as you can! Spend as much time outside as possible! I did my first month and now I know someone every where I go! Join! Join different clubs and organizations to have fun and meet even more people! There is a club here for every one.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Kids who may love sports but were never number one in high school. You have an opportunity here! I did not know what rugby was till I got here and now I love it!
Kids who want to learn! Come prepared to like learning! You definitely will here!
