Describe your college in three sentences.

UCI is a relaxing, yet academically rigorous university. Almost everyone you meet seems happy to be here. There are thousands of opportunities for students.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Live on campus your first year, and form good relationships with your hallmates and RA. Go to class.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Workload isn't too bad, but professors emphasize strong academic skills.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Dorm life is what you make of it, but if you come in with an open mind, you're sure to have tons of fun. The RA's are all very fun and spirited and they're there whenever you need them. Since you only live with about 65-80 people, compared to hundreds at other schools, you get to know everyone. You have another family.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The dorm food isn't the best, but compared to other school food, it's pretty good. A lot of options, and the occasional theme night is sure to please.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Newport beach is just a short drive away. Great food at Diamond Jamboree. A lot of malls. Ride the giant orange balloon for free!

Laid-back, but still motivated

There's blue emergency buttons everywhere, and Irvine is one of the safest cities ever
