Review of Three Rivers Community College

from Gales Ferry, CT

Describe your college in three sentences.

i remember a lot of my fellow high school friends looking down at this community college because it wasn't those big universities but i can honestly say this is a great school. this school not only has great programs like their nursing one but because it's local, it helps a lot of fresh high schoolers who don't know what they want to major in yet and cope with the transition from real . i've attended this college for almost two years now and i highly recommend this college because it's a great school.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

try to get classes all planned way ahead of time, i mean like start registering right after the semester has ended because classes come and go really fast. plan to get your classes within two to three days of the week so that the commute wouldn't waste as much gas and time as oppose to having one class everyday.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

great staff, clean, and friendly environment.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

there's no dorms.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

the cafe food is a bit on the expensive side, i mean when you're hungry and you have no time to go out to get food, this will do but i paid almost $3 for literally 5 small pieces of mozzarella sticks. =/

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

there's a game room in the f wing of the second floor where students can go and chillax before or after class. there's a billiards table, television, and i think a wii?

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

the tuition is great here, my financial aid covers all of it every year that i apply and i always get money back for books which can also be applied to the bookstore! the staff in the financial aid office is really helpful too!

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

lots of clubs!

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

the safety here is amazing, i always see security on duty no matter what time of the day walking around campus and calling in to check-in their position of where they are at the school.
