the class sizes are small and the professors are extremely helpful and go out of their way to provide explanations and assistance. i found the whole school to be very friendly and helpful from president to security officer.
Tips for prospective students
if you need help ask. try to learn about as many resources as you can as early as you can. start a study group in every class and get to know other students.
Academic Rigor
the courses are rigorous, but the professors are also very helpful and flexible where necessary. if you work hard and put in the time you will get an excellent grade in any class here.
Dorm Life
you can live at home. yay! no dorms. rentals reasonably priced all over the city, and the college is in an area with no hills so you can bicycle.
Food and Dining
food? i prepare my own food and there are lots of chain and nice family run restaurants in the area. there is a cafeteria, but it has neither a good nor bad reputation.
What to do for fun
there are dozens of student clubs doing everything from bowling and bycicling to debates, movies and camping trips. others organize multiple trips each semester to new york, boston or even places like ireland.
Bang for the buck
excellent financial aid department and numerous scholarships. they also have top notch instructors who are passionate about what they teach, so combine super low tuition with some of the best professors in the state and you get lots of bang for every buck. small classes too.
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
the president and deans walk around at odd times just to observe what is happening and to chat with a variety of students. they are very well connected with the student body and encourage you to visit them any time.
Great for these types of students
students who know what they want to do with their lives and will work. the professors will work with you.
Clubs and Activities
the clubs are whatever you make of them. if you are a leader there are dozens of people who will follow. the clubs change every semester based on the changing student body, but there is always a nice selection of very active clubs.
Greek Life
there are two or three major specific greek organizations and the phi theta kappa honors society for community college students who maintain a 3.5 gpa.
Campus Safety
the security is very active around the entire campus and parking areas are well lit, open and patrolled.

this is a great school if you don't know what you want to do and need some time to decide without taking time out of school. the classes are small and the professors are accessible. they have a lot of options for students.

some classes are harder than others. they are typical college level courses, but again, the professors are willing to help. even if your high school performance wasn't necessarily outstanding, it is a completely different feel.

the dining services on campus are not bad. there is a variety to choose from. because it is a commuter school, there are no meal plans, but it is good for going to get something in between classes.

i remember a lot of my fellow high school friends looking down at this community college because it wasn't those big universities but i can honestly say this is a great school. this school not only has great programs like their nursing one but because it's local, it helps a lot of fresh high schoolers who don't know what they want to major in yet and cope with the transition from real . i've attended this college for almost two years now and i highly recommend this college because it's a great school.
Tips for prospective students
try to get classes all planned way ahead of time, i mean like start registering right after the semester has ended because classes come and go really fast.
plan to get your classes within two to three days of the week so that the commute wouldn't waste as much gas and time as oppose to having one class everyday.
Academic Rigor
great staff, clean, and friendly environment.
Dorm Life
there's no dorms.
Food and Dining
the cafe food is a bit on the expensive side, i mean when you're hungry and you have no time to go out to get food, this will do but i paid almost $3 for literally 5 small pieces of mozzarella sticks. =/
What to do for fun
there's a game room in the f wing of the second floor where students can go and chillax before or after class. there's a billiards table, television, and i think a wii?
