Middlesex Community College is a 2-year college in central Connecticut. MXCC offers degrees and certificates in over 60 fields of study. Students in the college’s Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing program craft prescription glasses and contacts for their peers and the public at the on-campus Eyeglass and Contact Lens Clinic. The campus also hosts The Center for Civic Engagement which provides assistance on integrating community service into MXCC classes and sponsors a number of social justice initiatives including voter registration drives.
