The University of Texas at Tyler is not only known for being a branch off of the University of Texas at Austin, but because of its professors. The University of Texas at Tyler has some of the greatest professors that have received their degrees from different parts of world, therefore gives us, the students, a major advantage against non-UT Tyler students! Another advantage that we UT Tyler students have is that the teacher:student ratio is 1:20; this making it easier for the students to concentrate in class and build a strong relationship with the professors.
Will enjoy being here
Tyler, Texas may be a small town, but that's why it is great attending a university such as the University of Texas at Tyler. I may have only visited the university 4 maybe 5 times, but I am really excited to transfer this fall because I have already made a lot of friends. One gets to know people very well due to the fact that about only 5,000 students attend. We are a big family!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
UT Tyler is a great school for Enginnering and Education, but a big one for Nursing students. After doing research myself and talking to advisors at UT Tyler, UT Tyler is second in the nation for the highest percentage passing rate in the nursing exam tests. As a nursing major student myself, I feel more confident in myself knowing that if in the past years 99% of students have become nurses, I can get through it too!... especially with the great professors I hear students brag about so much!
