Get involved! There are so many excited and fun ways to get involved at UTC.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
In my experience here so far, UTC's academics are absolutely fantastic. I am a Criminal Justice major, and the professors I have are helpful and truly interested in teaching the students.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
UTC has the best college dorms I have ever seen, although they are not referred to as dorms here. We live in apartments! In many of the apartments people are not sharing rooms, and even if they are it is not a typical small bedroom. Here we have larger rooms for those who share bedrooms, and many students do not share. Residence life at my university is amazing.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
We have two dining facilities that are great. They are the UC and Crossroads.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There's always programs that are put on by the resident assistants, and there are various programs put on by different clubs every week. Also, there's almost always larping in the middle of campus to keep you entertained.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I would definitely say UTC is more than worth the money! It is a great school where most of the teachers honestly care about their students. You cannot find that at every school!
Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus
Patten Chapel is extremely beautiful and used quite often for weddings from what I have heard!
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
I never feel unsafe on campus! There is usually campus security officers walking around at night, and we have phones all around campus to use when we need help.
