Overview
The New England Conservatory of Music is a private, musical education institution established in Boston, Massachusetts. As the oldest school of music in the country, as well as one of the most distinguished, NEC offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs to a small student population in Chamber Music, Conducting, Voice & Opera, and more. Students at NEC have a wide variety of opportunities for performances through both the Community Performances & Partnerships program and the college’s Music Referral Service. Students also have the opportunity to cross-register with Northeastern University, Tufts University, and schools in the ProArts Consortium in order to take part in fields of study not offered at NEC.
