Red Raider's Review

Review of Texas Tech University

from Fort Worth, TX

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The teachers here are wonderful! If you don't understand in class they are always there at their office hours to help. Also, sometimes if you can't make their office hours, if you email them they will be more than willing to rearrange a separate time to help!

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

The spirit here is ridiculous! Tailgating at football games is a great way to meet people, and gets everyone pumped for the actual game. Not to mention, its a year round thing, we don't just rot for out Texas Tech Red Raider Football Team. Everyone is super nice, welcoming, and not to mention you can join any kind of organization you want to. The Greek life here is also amazing. They get involved in so much, especially in the community. You can never have enough community service hours!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

It's an expensive school don't get me wrong, but you're paying for what you get and more. I wouldn't choose another school to attend even if it was cheaper. To be completely honest, its fun packed, traditions are crazy, and not to mention the education you gain is top. You're paying a lot less here to get the same or better education then you'd get at a private school.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

I would say, come here ready to study. It's not as easy as everyone says Tech is. Also, be open-minded. Be ready to meet different cultures, get involved in Greek life, and all of the organizations on campus.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Anyone wanting to get a great education, and is ready to have plenty of fun!
