While at Snow College I learned so much! All the professors were willing to help me outside of class and had an environment inside of class set up in a way where students weren't afraid to speak up. Not only did I learn a lot about math, English, film, education, and other such subjects, I also learned a lot about myself. Snow has activities going on almost every weekend and interacting with other students was a great way to learn.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
The best part about Snow college is the location. Sure, there isn't a lot out there, but don't let that discourage you. I grew up in a small town and love the atmosphere of Snow. Because there isn't a lot we found inexpensive ways to have fun. From night games to all night card game tournaments to dance parties, there was always something to do. Plus, the long car rides for Denny's runs, late movies, or a spontaneous shopping trip can turn into great memories. The people are all very nice and accepting. It's almost impossible to walk on campus and not have someone say hello.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Tuition at Snow is very low. I actually spent the most of my money on housing. Depending on where you live, though, that can be avoided. I learned and enjoyed way more than enough for the money that I spent. There are free labs for every subject, free activities, and free friends.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
My advice to those thinking about Snow College - APPLY! I never thought I'd go to Snow until a friend convinced me to apply. After applying, visit the campus. Find out if it's something you really want. Finding a college for you is a hard process, but worth it. Talk to those who have attended Snow and get more opinions about it. But most of all find out for your self and have fun! GO BADGERS!!!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Snow is great for anyone. While there I met farmers, city people trying to get away, and people from all over the world. There weren't cliques at Snow like there were in high school. I got along with everyone. Anyone looking for a fun, inexpensive way to start college should check out Snow.
