Keira's Review

Review of Seton Hall University

from Las Vegas, NV

What tips can you share with prospective students?

Go to every club meeting, SAB event, basketball game, tabling, free food giveaway, free merch giveaway, and RA meeting you can. That's the best way to connect to the campus, meet new people, and build a network here at Seton Hall.

What qualities do you have that have best prepared you for success at this institution?

Optimism is key to a successful career; nobody likes a downer. Being a cheerful and bright person will help you build connections and keep a good mentality up.

How would you describe the dorm life at this school?

Dorm life is done mostly suite-style, meaning you pick a room mate to share a room with and then you share a bathroom with two other suite mates. Four people to a bathroom honestly isn't too bad.

In your experience, what is there to do for fun at this college?

The South Orange station is a 15 minute walk from campus and from there, Hoboken and NYC are 35 minute direct train rides away.

Are there any quirky or unique traditions that make your college special?

Christmas at the Hall is a celebration on the University Green where the entire school comes together to light our giant Christmas tree. There are blue Santa hats, hot cocoa, performances, and lots of pictures taken.

How does this institution support campus safety or mental health and wellness programs?

CAPS - Counseling and Psychological Services is the free mental health service on this campus. I've found them to be incredibly helpful and they're a great resource to turn to when school life feels like too much.
