Grace's Review

Review of Seton Hall University

from Rochester, NY

How are you enjoying your time at this college?

I could not be happier with my time at Seton Hall. There is truly something for everyone, whether it be a club, being a part of Greek life, and even holding an on-campus job. There is so much help everywhere on campus and you will find your niche no matter what. Everyone truly cares about the success of the students.

What tips can you share with prospective students?

Go with your gut and trust your instincts. When you know, you know. From the moment I stepped onto campus, I knew it was the place for me. It was one of the most welcoming schools I had visited and I have not regretted my decision to attend Seton Hall even once. As an out-of-state student who moved 5 hours away from home, I really have found my home at The Hall.

In what ways do you feel this college challenges students academically?

Students are given the opportunity to take classes that will challenge them academically, as well as socially. Group projects are encouraged and there is so much availability to grow with your peers. In addition to classes, we have the second biggest study abroad program in the state of New Jersey. Students, regardless of major, have the ability to travel to over 25 different countries in over 50 different Seton Hall locations and study whatever is of interest to them.

Are there any quirky or unique traditions that make your college special?

Our yearly traditions are some of my favorites. My number one is our Christmas tree lighting. Between the performances and the livestream for families at home to watch, it truly feels like home. We also welcome students with the first 56 days; for the first 56 days of school after summer break, there is an activity every single day to encourage students to get involved and have a smooth transition.
