When I first went to RCC I did not know what to expect. I love learning. They have great campus with tons of resources. Also the professors here are very helping. I have learned so much in the last year.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Being able to chose your major and classes is way different from high school. It gives you more flexablity to work and study. I love the environment of the Norco campus compared the other two. You are able to find a place outside to read or work on homework. They do a great job creating it to be more student involved. They have clubs that are very flexible with your schedule.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
As a college student you will spend a lot of money on books, school supplies, and of course classes. At RCC they make it really easy to apply for scholarships and financial aid if you need to. They have a low cost to books and class credits.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
I love RCC because of the way it is set up. First the counselors offer a load of advice.I advise you to go set up a time at counselor for you will receive a student goal list as well as a student class planner. They schedule you to be on track with your classes. Second try to chose your classes around any times you know will be a distraction. Third studying in the library or anywhere on campus can keep you focus. Finally the last tip is to stay motivated with a positive attitude. Professors and other students can only motivate you so much, the rest is up to you. This motivation will increase your chances of staying on track.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Any student who plans on transferring, students who don't have enough money, and any major that they offer is the type of students that usually go here.
