Because of the general education requirements for all majors, as well as class availability is so diverse, I have been able to take classes from womans studies to native american studies and beyond. I have learned many many things about all different cultures, as well as the sciences, math, etc.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
There are many places on campus to hang out and relax, taking a break from the sometimes busy day. Donovan Dining Center, The Don, is the main spot where everyone spends their breaks during the day. There are also a couple of great cafes on campus as well. The Rec Center is my favorite, boasting a pool, indoor track, gym, and zumba/yoga/etc classes. I love Rhode Island College.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
At under $8,000 a year for schooling right outside of the city of Providence, you cannot get a better deal. The location in itself is enough to make you want to attend. Providence City is less than 10 minutes away, and is filled with activity everyday, particularly with the many other universities around.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Work hard to get your gpa up the first year of school. If you start out with a bad gpa, its extremely hard to get it to where you want it to be.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Education, Nursing, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Business, Communications majors and Athletes
