I majored in the sciences and learned so much. As a high school student I disliked biology but when I took the introductory biology class as RIC I loved it and from there it was history.
Did enjoy being here
The campus is really small which I didn't mind. The only thing that bothered me was the condition of the buildings. A lot were not very up-to-date on maintenance. I understand it is a state college but try to maintain it.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
You get what you paid for. Its a very inexpensive school so you shouldn't expect to get what you would get at Harvard or Brown, but you will get what you paid for.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Just get in there, get your degree and be gone. There isn't much to do when comparing it to a larger university. It's a small campus. Make the best of it.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Students who live nearby (better to live off-campus rather than use your fin aid for the dorms). If coming from out of state make sure it is a small and quiet school that you want.
