from Columbus, OH

Describe your college in three sentences.

the pontifical college josephinum is the best school to attend if you are single, male, and catholic and thinking about becoming a priest. the pcj is holy, renaissance, and pontifical. the faculty, architecture, and curriculum is the best i have ever seen!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

pray about your possible vocation to the priesthood. our lord will lead you in the right direction. you will never know if you are being called to the priesthood or not unless you try.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

it is academically tough, and passionately catholic.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

the best dorms in the college prospective. recently renovated. singles only. hardwood floors! lazyboy chair! new, beautiful beds! it is like staying in a 5 star hotel.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

meals here are served 3 times a day. there are always free soda, juice, and bread/bagels available. the food is literally, a home cooked meal every day. we have professional chefs cooking for us every day, ranging from simple tacos for lunch, to roasted chicken or pot roast for supper. amazing variety. new thing every day!

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

pray, we have a pub in the basement of each of the dorms with a piano, ping pong table, big screen tv. chess, board games, sun-th 9-10 f-sat 9-11 beer is served along with food and soft drinks. there is a new cardio room with brand new equipment. a weight cage to lift weights. a huge, heated pool. a full sized basketball court. a bowling ally. all of these things, free of charge to the student.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

this is the best school for theology/ philosophy. you get so much more here than what you normally do at a regular college

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

mass, morning prayer, evening prayer, spiritual fraternities every day. this is the most passionately catholic school i have ever been to.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

no greek life available

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

everyone has a personal id card that they have to swipe to get into any one of the buildings. all doors are locked to outsiders. it is a seminary, no crime!!!
