The most of teachers here are great. Although it can be quite difficult to understand them, because of the accents, they do know what they are talking about. Some will even help you out a lot when you assignments are late!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Oakwood is a Christian university and is very Christ-centered. I actually love going to the weekly worships because there are often very great speakers there. Then there's the work load. What can I say, its college. There are some days that I want to be there, some days I do not. I just try to continue to make the best of it.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Oakwood is moderately priced compared to many other private colleges out there. One of the improvements I would suggest is better housing.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
New and transfer students attending Oakwood this fall, I highly recommend that you all actually take the time to study for your classes. During my first semester I found myself distracted, thus causing me to procrastinate a lot. Although my grades never dropped below a C, I knew that I could do a whole lot better than what I was doing. My second semester I took much more time with my studying and managed to get my GPA up. And besides, there could be nothing worst than spending YOUR summer retaking classes you slacked in, not to mention the money it will cost your parents!
