Tech is a great place for those who want a good education. You have to be a special kind of person to go here though. You have to be dedicated and enjoy small towns.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Don't come here hoping to live it up in a college town. Socorro leaves you wanting more. Though the professors are all great and want to get to know you. Visit them in their office hours and build connections.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
It can be super tough, but there's always someone to help if you need it.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I've lived in south hall for the last few semesters. It's ok, but make sure you get to know your roommate and suite mates!
Describe the food and dining at your college.
On campus food could be better, but there's a few restaurant around that are good. I recommend El Camino!
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Hang out with people. Join some clubs. There are clubs for everyone here.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Pretty cheap.

There is an opportunity to Paint the M. During the fall students race up the mountain with bags of paint to redo the big M on the side.

You should probably be some kind of nerdy person to go here. Everyone is some definition of it. Also the town itself isn't huge, so you have to be the kind of person to make your own fun.
